Our Mission: Celebrating and being a New Understanding of God's Love in Our Community
Our Vision: As a community of LGBTQ+ people and our allies, our vision is to fulfill our call to bring peace and justice. To this ends, we seek to create a safe, welcoming atmosphere where we encourage each other to grow individually and communally.
We seek to enlarge God's territory through inspiring, and through our involvement and connection with the larger community.

Our Mission and Vision
MCC RE (then Russian River MCC) was founded in Oct. 1982 by Rev. John Torres and his partner, Tim Webb. They had been attending MCC San Diego when Rev. Torres was called to plant a church at the Russian River. He initially served as Pastor at MCC RE until 1985, when he was called to start a church in Santa Rosa. Rev. Torres returned to pastor MCC RE a second time for several years in the late 90's. Both Rev. Torres and Tim Webb continue to be active with MCC RE today, along with retired pastor Rev. Betty Pedersen.

Pastor: Rev. Amie Giordano (she/her) Amie is a queer leather femme who has been serving as the Pastor of MCC RE since August 2019. In her ministry, she feels called to empower communities to experience the healing power of God's unconditional love. She is also passionate about the integration of sexuality and spirituality. She lives with her partner Theresa and their dog Luna, and in her free time she enjoys hiking, relaxing at the beach and botanical gardens, and spending time with her family and friends.
